Clea has worked as a therapist in schools for over 17 years.  She is trained as an arts psychotherapist,  also in child-focused systemic practice (family therapy) and as an EMDR (trauma) therapist.

She managed a therapeutic provision in a school for five years, including offering support to parents and staff. It was supporting staff within the school community and seeing the value of offering a space to reflect, that inspired her to train as a supervisor.

As supervisor Clea has supported a wide range of staff within schools, including learning mentors, safeguarding & inclusion staff, leadership, and executive heads, and has found that supervision can be used in many different ways and in response to different needs.

Clea has worked for Roehampton and Goldsmiths Universities, supervising trainee therapists working in schools. Clea supervises health professionals working with NHS staff from specialist services, who have experienced secondary trauma and burnout, and is at present working across pupil referral units as part of a successful DFE- funded programme focused on reducing knife crime and keeping young people in school.
