Why are you an Associate of Talking Heads?
Having been a school leader, including a Headteacher, for the last 20 years, I fully understand the challenges and complexities of the role and the impact that this can have on one’s health and wellbeing. I feel honoured to be able to provide a supportive and confidential space for school leaders to talk about their experiences. School leaders often put their own needs to one side, as they spend every day supporting the needs of others. Leaders deserve and need this kind of professional support and development for themselves: they tell me that supervision is a place where they can speak openly and honestly, gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and a more balanced perspective of their organisation and the wider system within which they work.
