We are pleased to be continuing our work with Education Support (the only UK charity dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of teachers and education staff in schools, colleges and universities) and are recruiting on their behalf for Associate Supervisors as the following provision will be increased from September 2023:
Wellbeing support for school and FE leaders (educationsupport.org.uk)
The project initially launched in March 2022 and the provision was for Senior Leaders in Education in England. It is the biggest supervision project anywhere in the world and the biggest external provision for education. It is funded by the Department of Education and Education Support are the provider. Lisa Lea-Weston of Talking Heads is the Lead Associate and project manager.
As an Associate of Education Support, you will be asked to offer at least 4 - 8 clients per week. You would need to be able to commit to 12-18 months of work as an Education Support Associate. The work is freelance at a fixed rate per session. There is the potential to join the Talking Heads team as it is hoped that those who have the six funded sessions will want to continue, and we can offer this with the same supervisor if that supervisor is an Associate of Talking Heads.
You will be expected to attend a one-hour monthly drop-in support session as well as have 121 support every 6 weeks.
You need to have attained a qualification in supervision which is at Level 7 or equivalent. You need to be registered with an ethical body e.g. HCPC, UKCP, BPS, BACP. You MUST be in regular supervision yourself and have been working as a supervisor for over 2 years.
