I am an HCPC registered Dramatherapist, Course Leader of the Creative Arts Supervision Training (CAST) and Senior Lecturer on the MA Drama and Movement Therapy training at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London.

My working week is a mixture of teaching new therapists, working with children and young people as a therapist and supervising a variety of education, health and social care professions.

Over the last 25 years since training as a therapist I have worked in many educational settings including Pupil Referral Units, Special Educational settings and mainstream primary, junior and secondary schools.

My Professional Doctorate, supported by an NHS scholarship, focused on the multi-disciplinary experiences of therapists, health care and educational professionals working  with children and young people with life limiting and/or life threatening conditions. I co-founded Willow, a dramatherapeutic Children’s Bereavement Service for NHS Croydon. In this role I supported Head Teachers and school staff when their schools were impacted by pupil illness and loss.

I live in beautiful Wiltshire where I have a private dramatherapy and supervision practice in Salisbury and also work online.

My publications include ‘Child Agency and Voice in Therapy’ (2021 with Cedar, Haythorne, Jones, Mercieca and Ramsden, Routledge)

Having experienced and witnessed the transformation of education I take great joy in being alongside others in this process and I understand the value of being supported through the multiple challenges within the learning environment.
