An afternoon for educators curious about supervision from across Southwest England and South Wales
Following the publication of the “Supervision in Education Quality Standards Framework” and the “Every Child Achieving and Thriving White Paper”, this event will explore how supervision is a win-win: supporting both those working in education and positively impacting the children and young people they work with. The afternoon will bring together voices from across the sector to explore the impact, benefits and future direction of supervision in education.
Hosted by the Centre for Supervision Training and Development (CSTD Bath) and Talking Heads Supervision, we are pleased to be joined by representatives from early years, primary and secondary education, supervisors and the Department of Education.
We will be discussing:
- Why is supervision valuable within education and how is it developing in schools?
- The impact supervision is having in schools?
- How to build and sustain good quality supervision in schools
Please arrive at 12.30pm to share a sandwich lunch. The discussions will begin at 1.30pm and finish at 4.30pm.
The afternoon will be of interest to:
- School and trust leaders
- Designated safeguarding leads and pastoral staff
- SENCOs and inclusion leads
- Anyone working in education curious to know more about supervision
